Overview
The Zambia Air Force Stream is the liaison between the Ministry of Defence and Zambia Air Force. It is the direct representative of the Air Force in the Ministry. The Zambia Air Force safeguards the sovereignty of our mother land against all enemy air threats and renders support to land forces in Defence of the country. The Zambia Air Force Stream is headed by the Air Secretary.
Functions
The functions of the Air Force include:
(i) To preserve and defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic; and
(ii) To co-operate with State organs and State institutions in times of public emergencies and national disasters.
